Musical Theatre classes in Weymouth
Our popular Musical Theatre classes (which we call Musical Theatre Workshop) are where dance meets storytelling, and it's often the class that encourages shy dancers furthest out of their comfort zone.
Which ages can join our Musical Theatre classes?
We divide our Musical Theatre lessons into three age groups: Junior (Years x to 6), Inter (Years 7 to 9) and Senior (Years 10+).
What do students learn in our Musical Theatre lessons?
Part Musical Theatre acting classes, part dance lessons, our sessions teach dancers to move and act at the same time, building the vocal and performance skills that sit alongside the choreography.
They are fun and energetic classes built for the all-round performer, and they draws children from right across Weymouth, Dorchester and Portland who want to sing, act and dance.
What this class builds
The all-round performer: acting, singing and dancing skills, all working together.
Musical Theatre classes for festivals
Students who are part of the Musical Theatre festival routines also attend Martine’s festival Musical Theatre classes on a Thursday.

Absolutely! We’ll let our former student, Izzy, explain how she felt about Musical Theatre before she started classes:
“I was always a very shy child and scared to go outside of my comfort zone, but QTA has given me such confidence and sense of self that I have carried into my life.
“I went from being someone who would hide behind the lyric sheet in an MT class to someone who went to lead the MT group at Finals.”

Yes - firstly, many of our students are also members of WOW Youth Musical Theatre, and these Musical Theatre classes are an excellent way to develop stage skills, in preparation for an audition for WOW or performing arts colleges.
Many students go on to performing arts colleges such as Bird, Performers, Laine Theatre Arts and Wilkes Academy.
