Commercial Jazz Dance classes in Weymouth
We schedule our three commercial dance classes on Fridays (Seniors) and Saturdays (Juniors and Inters), and with good reason: they’re a fantastic and fun way to end a week of dance classes!
How is Commercial Jazz different to our other dance lessons?
We set Studio 1’s LED lights to match the music and choreography, and for a lot of dancers their jazz dance class is the one where they can properly let go and enjoy performing without worrying too much about getting every detail exactly right first time.
What kind of music do we dance to?
Our class playlist is full of tracks we’re currently loving, alongside hip hop and street styles, so it's often the class that feels most like the music videos and TikToks students are watching at home.
Who takes our Commercial Jazz classes?
Our Jazz dance classes are popular with children from Weymouth, Dorchester and Portland who want something current and high-energy, alongside their other styles. That doesn't mean it's technique-light, in fact our Commercial dance classes are rooted in strong jazz dance technique.

No - students can decide what to wear - it’s a much more colourful and informal class! We just ask them to wear something they are comfortable in, and that they can move easily.
