Contemporary Dance lessons in Weymouth
Our Contemporary dance lessons give our students (aged 12+) more creative freedom. They have room to interpret a piece of music and express something through movement, rather than following a fixed set of steps. As well as sharper, more angular styles, they can draw on lyrical contemporary dance.
What else do students learn in our Contemporary lessons?
As well as learning technique, our students also build a proper knowledge of the choreographers and styles that shape Contemporary dance today, so that their freedom of movement is grounded in a real understanding.
As one of the few Contemporary dance schools offering dedicated Contemporary classes for students from Weymouth, Dorchester and Portland. Our experienced and qualified teachers choreograph fresh and exciting routines that competed at AED Regional and National Finals in 2026.
What this class builds
